General performance :

Our teams fare extremely well against local teams. Matches played against larger schools from the Cape Town area prove to be more challenging, but Hermanus Primary School holds its own.

Toernooie word ook gedurende die wintermaande by verskeie skole gespeel, bv. Laerskool Somerset Wes, Lochnerhof en Belville Sportdag.

The U/11A team is afforded the opportunity to participate in development trials. These trials are held at our school in August. All the schools from the Walker Bay area are invited to enter a team. The selected team then participates in an U/11 tournament which is usually held in Paarl.

The U/12 & U/13 A teams participate in trials every year. The Walker Bay trials are held in Gansbaai. If players are selected, they then progress to the South Boland trials which take place in Caledon. Thereafter, selected players represent South Boland at the Boland trials. This venue changes annually. Boland players subsequently represent the area at the S.A. Schools tournament.

The U/13 team attends a netball clinic during the April school holidays. This clinic, which is held at Riebeek Kasteel, prepares the team for the impending season.
The season is concluded with a tour to George. Parents may accompany the team on this tour. It is a social highlight which is enjoyed by players, teachers & parents.
